Itai Horstock, Managing Partner - Sherpa Innoventurs

Itai Horstock is a Co-founder and Managing Partner of Sherpa InnoVentures, a unique innovation-focused investment fund, based in Tel-Aviv, Israel.
Itai has extensive experience in the VC and PE industry; he co-founded and managed The Sherpa Group, a New York Based venture capital platform, which was the main investor in Exalink Ltd., eventually acquired by Comverse Technology for the amount of 550 million US$. Following that, Itai Co-founded The Hawkeye Group, a venture capital investment and advisory firm with offices in New York, and Tel-Aviv that continued the operation of The Sherpa Group and adjusted its model to the evolution of the market.

Itai serves as the Executive Director of Government of Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office in Israel.
Itai is a Founding Partner at Excaliber Capital (the biggest multifamily office in Israel), established and managed its non-liquid activity, as well as its VC Operations. Itai is a co-founder and partner in Evolution, a venture capital fund for medium and small sized, revenue generating and technology based Israeli and Israel-related companies.

Itai has served as a board member and Chairman in various technology companies, in Israel and the US, including advising in the fields of M&A transactions, Venture Capital and strategic planning. Itai was formerly a lawyer in Shearman & Sterling, a leading US firm, in which he participated in major domestic and international corporate transactions specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions.

Itai holds an LL.B from Tel Aviv University and an LLM from NYU.
